How is daily rent calculated?
A rental day is calculated from 08:00 to 08:00 the following day. Please note that you must always call the customer center when the machine is ready for collection to order return transport of the equipment. How is weekend rent calculated?
Weekend hire starts on Friday at 14:00 and lasts until Monday morning at 08:00. Remember to order return transport on Monday morning if you have had equipment delivered to you. 69838400 / post@sorbyutleie.no

Can we rent the equipment by the hour?
The minimum possible charge is daily rent.

Can I deliver equipment after closing hours?
Yes, you can, but returns after closing hours must be arranged during our opening hours. Ask for a QR code note and return tag when you pick up the equipment, or we can send it as a picture message to you. The return tag is filled in with the customer’s name, date and time of return. The return tag has to be hung on the machine.

What does the rental price include?
Included in the rent are the following benefits from Sørby rental: Management of the capital and investment risk the equipment represents. Preventive maintenance and safety inspections. Repairs due to normal wear and tear.

What is not included in the rental price?
The following will be invoiced separately from the agreed rental price: cleaning, fuel, transport, damages up to a deductible of 15,000 per claim. See also points 5 and 6 of our rental conditions for more detailed information:

Why do I have to order return transport when I'm done with the machine?
The equipment is rented until we are notified that it is ready for collection. It is similar to checking out of a hotel and handing in the key card. Similarly, we have to agree on the location of the keys and details about picking up the machine. Therefore it is not possible to arrange a collection before the day you are actually finished. Cancellation after closing time can be done by post@sorbyutleie.no. During opening hours, we would like you to call our customer center on 69838400.

Invoicing period
We make invoices on the 1st and 16th of each month. If your rental period falls between these days, you may receive two invoices for the same rental contract.

How do I become a customer of Sørby Utleie AS?
Contact us and we will create a customer account. We will need your name, address, date of birth, telephone number and email address. We perform credit checks on all our new customers.

Why have I received two invoices for renting the equipment?
Orders are split into two invoices due to invoicing of ongoing orders on the 15th and last day of each month.

Why do I get an invoice for two days' rent when it is only rented for 24 hours?
Rental runs from 08:00 until 08:00 the next day. If you collect the equipment at 14:00 and return it at 14:00 the following day, you must pay for two days.

Why did I still get an invoice when I have returned the equipment?
Did you remember to deregister the equipment when you were done with it or to contact the customer center when you have returned it?

I have cleaned the equipment. Why did I still get an invoice for cleaning and reception control?
When machines and equipment are handed in after the end of the lease, they must always go through a reception check to check that everything is in order. If there is anything that deviates from the standard the machines/equipment must be in when renting to the next customer, it will be rectified. This is billed based on how much time we use.

I have filled the equipment with diesel. Why did I still get an invoice for filling up with diesel?
Have you filled up completely? All machines go through preparation at the end of the lease, we fill all our machines to the top of the refill tube.

What is insurance compensation?
This is a cost we invoice to keep the machine insured during the rental period. The insurance is calculated at 5% of the gross rental price. Please note that the deductible will be charged in the event of damage that occurs. Read our conditions at www.sorbyuutleie.no for additional conditions.

What do you need from me in order to become your customer?
We need a full name, address, telephone number, email address and social security number of private individuals.
For companies, we need a company registration number, invoice address/mail/EHF, contact person.
We perform credit checks on all new customers before we open an account.

The machine is not working and you are closed for the day. What should I do?
Call our 24-hour available hotline on 69838400, where you will be told which mobile number you can call. We will then try to help you get the machine up and running again.

We usually sell our machines when they reach 5-8 years of age because we try to keep our rental park as modern and up-to-date as possible.

Why are you selling these machine?
When our machines reach a certain age, we list them for sale as we try to keep our rental park as modern and up-to-date as possible. The machines are in perfect condition, having been regularly maintained and serviced.
